Wine Etiquette Class

A class designed to cover the all important basics of wine etiquette, excellent for young professionals, new grads, social clubs, networking events. Topics covered:

~ serving wine (how to chill, open sparkling, standard and screw top wines confidently, pour wine without spilling and in the correct amount, refresh guest's glasses)

~ holding your glass, swirling, and sipping tips

~ ordering wine (navigating a wine list, selecting a wine to match food, working with a sommelier)

~ buying wine as a gift (how much to spend, classic regions, trendy regions, how to present your gift, bringing wine to a party)

~ avoiding embarrassing moments (manage your intake, avoiding spills, teeth stains, and lipstick & fingerprint smudges)

~ pronunciation of important wine words, places, and brands (never say 'Moet' incorrectly again)

Cost: $500 for up to 3 hours of instruction for up to 25 participants at your location. Includes instruction, learning supplies (pens, papers, and booklet for each participant), and if wine is to be served, a list of suggested wines. Does not include cost of wine.

Wine Etiquette for Business Class

A class designed specifically for companies who want their employees to be fully equipped and confident in business wine etiquette. Topics covered: 

~ what to do when: your client orders wine at lunch, you don't drink wine, you don't know much about wine, or a client drinks too much

~ serving wine (how to chill, open sparkling, standard and screw top wines confidently, pour wine without spilling and in the correct amount, refreshing guest's glasses)

~ holding your glass correctly, how to swirl without spilling, and sipping tips

~ ordering wine (navigating a wine list, selecting a wine to match food, working with a sommelier, ordering wine for a client, being a good host/ess)

~ buying wine as a gift for clients and colleagues (how much to spend, classic regions, trendy regions, how to present your gift, bringing wine to a party)

~ avoiding embarrassing moments (manage your intake, avoiding spills, teeth stains, and lipstick & fingerprint smudges)

~ pronunciation of important wine words, places, and brands (never say 'Moet' incorrectly again)

Wine Party Hostess 

Make sure your guests have a fantastic evening. Rachel is available to host private tasting parties, blind tastings, food and wine pairing parties, special wine events, and launches. She can suggest the perfect wine list, and a selection of ideal food pairings, along with providing advice on glassware, service, plus party theme and games ideas.

Cost: $300 for up to 12 guests, $500 for parties of 12+ guests. Includes up to 3 hours of hosting, suggested wine list and food pairings, and party rental suggestions. Does not include wine, set-up, glassware, or party clean-up.

Have a wine list that's not working? Perhaps you paid a consultant or sommelier to set up your list, but it's not connecting with customers. Why isn't the wine selling? Rachel's got a gift for sensing what diners want, and her wine list audit will tell you:
