Rachel von Sturmer holds the WSET Diploma, is a Wine Judge at the IWSC, a Vinitaly Italian Wine Ambassador, and recipient of a BC Les Dames d’Escoffier wine scholarship.

Rachel's also a professionally trained chef, having finished at the top of her class at the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts in Vancouver, B.C. The first edition of her guidebook to the best wineries of BC’s Okanagan and Similkameen Valleys, Winetripping, was released in 2016. She's currently working with her husband Deacon to renovate an organic vineyard in the Similkameen Valley.

From uncovering the latest wine region to seek out, to breaking down wine jargon, and finding great wines to try, Rachel loves the challenge of making learning about wine fun and accessible.
